CLASSICAL ACUPUNCTURE

Classical ear and body acupuncture

Not every problem requires implant therapy. In many cases, traditional ear or body acupuncture may be the best choice—especially when the patient needs fast action, clear relief, or therapy targeted at acute ailments.

When does this method work particularly well?

Classical acupuncture is very often chosen primarily for:

  • acute pain,
  • sudden pain ailments,
  • tension-related pain issues,
  • situations requiring the fastest possible therapeutic support.

In many cases, it is this rapid action that makes this method particularly valued by patients suffering from acute pain.

What does the procedure involve?

During the therapy, very thin needles are used, which are inserted into carefully selected acupuncture points on the ear or body.
The selection of points always depends on the type of problem, the severity of symptoms, and the individual assessment of the therapist.
For most patients, the procedure is not painful or involves only minimal discomfort. The experience and precision of the acupuncturist play a significant role here.

Does the procedure hurt?

In the vast majority of cases, patients fear the procedure more before their first visit than after it.
The use of very thin needles and the proper technique mean that pain sensations are usually minimal.
The level of sensation can be individual, but the following are of great importance:

  • the experience of the therapist,
  • the correct selection of points,
  • the technique of performing the procedure.

If the patient is afraid of needles

In selected cases, it is also possible to use special patches with vaccaria seeds placed on carefully selected ear points.
This solution allows for a gentler, non-invasive form of stimulation without the use of needles.
Although the effect of this solution is usually less intense than in the case of classical needle acupuncture, for many patients it represents a good first step or an alternative when there is a strong fear of needles.
The patient goes home with these patches and returns after a few days for a follow-up and possible replacement, in accordance with the individual therapy plan.

Therapy can be adjusted during treatment

One of the important advantages of traditional acupuncture is the ability to observe the effects on an ongoing basis and adapt the therapy to the body’s reaction.
Based on progress, changes in symptoms, or the patient’s response, the therapist can modify the action plan by changing points, adding new areas of work, or adjusting the direction of therapy.
This approach allows for the best possible adaptation of the therapy to the patient’s current needs and aims to achieve the best possible results.

What is most important for the patient?

In the case of severe or sudden ailments, the priority is to reduce pain and improve daily comfort as quickly as possible.
A well-chosen therapy can bring a clear reduction in pain perception, and in many cases, a significant improvement in well-being.

Why do many patients choose traditional acupuncture?

Fast support for acute pain

This method is often chosen when time matters and there is a need for the fastest possible action.

Very thin needles

The procedure relies on the use of thin needles, which for many patients means less discomfort than they initially assumed.

An alternative for people with a fear of needles

In selected cases, it is possible to use patches with vaccaria seeds.

Possibility to modify the therapy

The course of action can be adjusted on an ongoing basis according to the observed effects.

Individual selection of therapy

The therapist selects the method, points, and course of action to match the specific health problem and the patient’s comfort.

The experience of the therapist is of key importance

As in many manual and therapeutic methods, great importance lies not only in the procedure itself, but also in the experience of the person performing the treatment.
Precision, selection of points, and a proper assessment of the health problem have a significant impact on patient comfort and the viability of the therapy.
